Christmas In Topeka

We really hadn't dressed up the inside of the house for the holiday this year. We knew that with Christmas coming on a Tuesday that there wouldn't be much of a chance for visitors to come our way.

Surprise! Surprise!! Sharla found out that her cousin Bruce and his family would be in the Topeka area and were hoping they could stop by. My wifey was a happy lady and she went to work. And, the place is looking pretty sharp. Bruce, along with his daughter Tawna and wife Janet came and we had a great time. Sharla served a feast of a meal. (Topped off, of course, with a Creme Brulet!!) Good times!

Thankgiving Tour-de-Kansas, Cooper Style

The Topeka Coopers performed their traditional Thanksgiving holiday Tour-de-Kansas. Thursday, we enjoyed a traditional (you should expect nothing else!!) dining experience at Sharla's sister's house. Wilcox's, Summers, Coopers and even a spare Wegeng presided over a dandy meal. As always, there's nothing quite like a nap following a feast.

We stayed the evening in Hutchinson at the in-laws. And it was on to Hoxie on Friday. Sharla, Keesha and I stopped in Hays to pick up some Bar-B-Qutie to take to mom and dad. I think it's fair to say that mom really enjoyed the ribs. Pappy enjoyed all but the highlight to him was the Burbon Brownies. He even passed along a little advice: "Remember Keesha, if given a choice between a corner or a middle, always take the corner!"

Afterwards, those three wild women forced me to make them a batch of hot chocolate with Butter Shots schnopps.

Tellie

Sharla and I were entrusted with grand-dog sitting while Kaela and Stephen took in the KU/Louisiana Monrow BB game. Tellie was feeling pretty rambunctious and it was swell to let them take her home afterwards. :)

As you can see, Tellie is just a big polar bear of a pup...

Day 1

No this isn't much, but it is a beginning.
